Communication is not exclusive to Dublin - neither are the people who work in the industry. The Irish Academy recognises the need for a support and networking mechanism for communications professionals throughout Ireland. As a result we are establishing a nationwide network of professionals to drive the industry forward through regional meetings, seminars and networking opportunities. About the Academy

Founded in 1993, the Irish Academy of Public Relations is the largest provider of public relations education in the country. It is an independent educational foundation, which is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. The Academy specialises in teaching public relations courses at foundation, diploma and post-graduate levels. Teaching centres are at universities in Dublin (UCD), Cork (UCC) and Galway (GMIT). Courses are also taught in selected venues throughout the country, and by correspondence and e-mail throughout the world. The Academy also designs and implements special training courses specific to the needs of individual companies. Our trainers are all practitioners who bring the benefit of hands-on experience to our courses. Our sister college The Irish Academy specialises in courses in Journalism, which are taught at foundation and post-graduate level, and by distance.
